Team Shirts
Team Fisher House has designed a fantastic new shirt for our fundraising teams at the Air Force Marathon, Navy Ten Nautical-Miler, Army Ten-Miler, and Marine Corps Marathon.
The artwork is sublimated into the fabric, making it great for training and race day.
TFH Shirts - FINAL DESIGN
The shirts will be sent to the entire team weekly starting in April.  You'll have plenty of time to train in them before race day.
Two Ways to Join Team Fisher House at the AFM
Team Fisher House has 199 race slots for the half-marathon or marathon.  When you register indicating that you need a race slot, you will have a $500 fundraising minimum requirement.

There is unlimited space on the team for participants who register directly with the AFM for their race slots (5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathon, or Marathon).  If you register with TFH indicating that you already have a race slot, there is no fundraising minimum requirement.  However, at $500, you will be eligible to receive our fabulous gift bag!
TFH Support Race Weekend
TFH supports our AFM runners at our own  Expo Booth, Water Point, and Finish Line Tent.  Runners can meet TFH staff and pick up their fundraising incentive gifts (those exceeding $500 in donations) at the expo.  TFH runners will get tons of cheers and hydration along the 1/2 marathon and marathon course from our water point.  The team will have a place to store post race gear and meet family/friends at our own finish line tent. 
 Team Hotel
Team Fisher House has 20 rooms blocked (one night's stay, 2 DBL beds, 9/14 - 9/15) available on a first-come, first-served basis.  The team hotel is the Fairfield Inn located at 2500 Paramount Place, Fairborn, OH.  Please contact the hotel directly by phone at 937-427-0800, using the group name "Team Fisher House" to guarantee the $124 plus taxes group rate.  If you would like to extend your stay, please contact Danielle McBride at 927-427-0800, to secure the group rate.  The team room block is available until it sells out or August 13, 2012, whichever comes first.
Volunteers 
Team Fisher House is recruiting ROTC and JROTC cadets and midshipmen in the Dayton area to become Mile Markers and Water Point Volunteers.  All registered volunteer groups will receive complimentary Team Fisher House volunteer shirts, cow hats, and cowbells.  Their job is to cheer for every Team Fisher House runner who passes by on the race course.

Family members and friends of Team Fisher House runners can pick up complimentary cow hats and cowbells when the runner checks in with Team Fisher House at the expo.
Race Weekend Team Hot Spots

Did you know that we have two team event areas race weekend?

You can link up with team mates, family, and friends at our very own Expo Booth and Finish Line Tent.

Cathy Cabrey, Team Fisher House Program Director, and I will be at both hot spots to support you throughout race weekend.

The Team Fisher House expo booth is....

your personal information booth designed to answer your last minute race weekend questions.  It is also the incentive gift giving area!  If you reach $500 in donations before race day we will thank you with the 2011 Team Fisher House Race Jacket and Gift Bag.  If you reach $500 before the end of the year we will ship the incentive gifts to you.

The Team Fisher House Finish Line Hospitality Tent is...... your home base on race day.  You can drop off your post race bag before the race, and use the space to link up with family and friends afterward.  We will have post race snacks to replenish those energy stores too!


Volunteers will be at both hot spots to pump you up and get you ready for the race.  If you know a group that would like to volunteer, they can get more info

Team Fisher House Gift Bags
Team Fisher House will give each qualified team runner at fantastic Team Fisher House Jacket and Team Fisher House bag to thank you for your fund- and awareness-raising efforts.  
 
Runners who needed a race slot through Team Fisher House ($500 fundraising minimum) will be able to pick ups the bag and jacket at Team Fisher House booth at the Expo.
 
Runners who purchased their race slot (marathon or 10K) directly through the www.usafmarathon.com website, who reach $500 in fundraising before race weekend will be able to pick theirs up at the Expo. We will mail a bag and jacket to those runners who reach $500 after race weekend.
Team Fisher House Mascot, Champ the Cow
At Team Fisher House, supporting our runners is our number one priority over race weekend.  We couldn't do this without the help of volunteers - family members and friends of runners, and local organization.

I'd like to introduce you to "Champ," our new Team Fisher House Mascot.  Champ will hand out balloons and cowbells at the expo (and pose for photos with his adoring fans),

The new Team Fisher House volunteer t-shirt will feature Champ on the back with the TFH Volunteer Tagline "Get More Cow Bell - Join Team Fisher House"

And as famed director, Cathy Cabrey, says "If Team Fisher House wants more cow bell, we should probably give them more cow bell!"

Race Registration Process
For those runners with Team Fisher House who require a marathon or half marathon race slot at the 2012 Air Force Marathon races, there is a $500 minimum fundraising requirement with an September 1, 2012 deadline.

How do I get registered for the race itself?
  • Starting in mid-May, and continuing each week until mid-July, Stacy Toner will register runners for the 2012 AFM or AF Half-Marathon using the Charity Partner Registration Module
  • Once your AFM race registration is complete, you will receive your race registration confirmation email from the Air Force Marathon
